Event Coordinator

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, plus additional match days and events

Start Date: TBC

Salary: £16,500 - £18,500

Line Manager: Stadium Manager

Oversee all aspects of event planning and management of all internal and external events at Cardiff Arms Park. The term 'event' covers all events/room bookings/pitch hires that are not Cardiff Blues, Cardiff Blues Premiership Select or Cardiff RFC fixtures.

Duties will include, but are not restricted to:

• Coordinate all event enquires

• Operate both of the Cardiff Blues booking systems (Catering/Events & Pitch Bookings)

• Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the venue and event offerings

• Conduct venue tours for prospective clients

• Confirm event details with clients, Cardiff Blues staff and caterers

• Coordinate all event set up

• Organise guest lists and table plans for all Cardiff Blues events

• Work closely with the Assistant Stadium Manager on any event which requires stewards or has a potential high attendance

• Raise invoice requests and chase payment for events

• Coordinate parking arrangements for internal events and Principality Stadium events

• Manage and attend events

• Send post event follow up emails

• Coordinate weekly event meeting

• Attend networking events representing Cardiff Blues

• Coordinate weekly and monthly accounts reports for all events

• Co-design event sales packages

• Distribute event sales packages

• Supply the Marketing and Communications department with social media content for events

Skills and Qualifications:

• Degree in Event Planning or Marketing preferred but not essential.

• Organisation

• Event planning experience

• Team management experience

• Sales

• Knowledge of common booking software

• Attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication

• Strong client-facing skills

• Marketing knowledge or previous experience

Cardiff Blues Limited is currently looking to recruit Safety Stewards to become part of our Safety Management Team.

Role Responsibility:

As a Safety Steward you will be helping in all manner of ways including, but not limited to:
• Ticket checking
• Directing spectators to specific areas
• Crowd safety duties
• Hospitality stewarding
• Car park duties
• Providing general help and guidance to spectators

You must be at least 18 years old and ideally you will have previous stewarding or customer care experience, however this is not essential as ground specific training will be provided, and you could also be considered for one of the in-house courses that we run. Good verbal communication skills and a common sense approach are essential. An aptitude to working with the public, a friendly, approachable and professional manner are all important but, above all, flexibility is key.

Casual Bar Staff

As a member of our customer-facing team, you will be responsible for delivering top quality service and ensuring all non- alcoholic and alcoholic beverages are presented to our high standards.

The role involves keeping the bar and front-of-house area clean and tidy at all times. You will be expected to keep up to date with current promotions and new products, as well as adhere to all company policies, procedures and licensing laws. We would encourage you to get involved and contribute to our team.

The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be professional and well presented - able to communicate clearly with people at all levels. You should be a self-motivated team player able to work unsupervised in a busy environment.
